House Pictures

I thought I would post some pictures of our house before we move. We are moving Sat. and I am very sad. I love my house and I am going to miss it. This is the only house my kids have known. This is also the first house I have owned. I have lived in this house longer than any other house in my life. To all of you who read this if you know of anyone who is moving to the Joplin, Missouri area you may want to keep this house in mind!!

Today is Bills and I anniversary. We have been married for 8 wonderful years. I can't believe it has been that long. They say time flies when you are having fun. Happy anniversary honey!!

I would like to wish a happy 35th wedding anniversary to my great in-laws. I couldn't ask for greater in-laws. They are so giving and helpful. They are great grandparents to my children. Hope you have a great day Joedy and Margaret. Enjoy Monterey House. :)

update

Great news!! The telephone company called this afternoon and we will have DSL in our new house this Friday. Now if we can just get someone to look at our house AND buy it. :)

Ramblings

Hello to everyone in blogland. Bill and I are finally getting into moving mode. I can't believe the time is here already. We are planning on moving July 26th. We have already started getting our phone/internet connection hooked up so Bill can work from home, this has been an ordeal. The house we are moving to is next to the school. The school has DSL. However, when I called to set that up the phone company informed me that DSL is unavailable at the house. After about 20 phone calls I think we MAY be getting DSL through the phone company. They are doing some investigating to see why their system says we cannot get DSL but the school can. We should hear the verdict by the end of the week. We called the cable company but there is no cable run to the house so it was going to cost us $600 just to run a line to the house!!! That ruled out cable one. :)
I am very anxious about teaching. I have already been planning and getting things together. My aunt brought me the manuals a few weeks ago so that is giving me a idea of what direction I am heading. I am very anxious about meeting my students and getting acquainted with old and new friends. I know 5th and 6th graders will be a lot different than first graders but I know I will love it.

Last night while Bill and I were in the living room we assumed Nellie was in our bedroom watching Blues Clues. Unfortuantley we were wrong. She came into the living room and said "Mom" with a blue marker in one hand and the cap in the other. I said "Oh, Nellie" and she burst into tears. This is what she looked like.....I believe she knew she had done something wrong.

Just a Thought

As I have been packing to move I became aware of something that really bothers me...missing puzzle pieces. My children love to do puzzles and have quite a few. One of the girls I babysit likes puzzles but she likes to hide pieces instead of put them back in the puzzles. We were missing several pieces and it was pretty irritating to me. What good is a puzzle w/o all the pieces? This morning Bill was going through some old CD's of his and he ran across one of the missing pieces. I was so excited to have a missing piece it gave me a little motivation to pack a few more boxes and I found another missing piece!! Maybe by the end of this move my children will have all their puzzle pieces back and I can relax knowing all the puzzles are complete.
